Even Yehuda (אבן יהודה-“the Stone of Yehuda”) is a municipality founded in 1934. The town is located a few kilometers from the Mediterranean coast, east of Netanya. It currently has about 3500 families.
Even Yehuda, a small residential, chic, and quiet town.
But it’s not just the “Wisteria Lane” on the outskirts of Netanya. Indeed, a beautiful place means good schools, with its flowering gardens and beautiful houses. The town is known for emphasizing education, both in terms of schools and extracurricular activities. First of all, let’s talk about Wizo-Hadassim, this huge school complex with 1600 students. The school is very beautiful, green, and the Israeli students are very welcoming to new immigrants. The olim students have 18 hours of Ulpan per week and there are about twenty in each class.
Hadassim is a Mamlakhti (ממלכתי) school, it has a boarding school as well as a kosher cafeteria, which is quite rare to note – in Israel, the concept of a cafeteria is almost non-existent, much to the dismay of French olim, who discover every morning the joys of the lunch box… – The school teaches Zionist values.
It should be noted that Hadassim is part of the Naalé program, and that French students can enroll without making Aliyah, provided they stay in the boarding school.
Even Yehuda also known for its American campus:

Walworth Barbour American International School (WBAIS), an incredible complex that brings together from Gan to high school over 40 different nationalities. Its sports study section is also world-renowned. The cohesion of the community within the school is a fundamental value. Many unifying events are celebrated there, such as Earth Day, International Day, or even Halloween!!
WBAIS (for those in the know) also hosts a visual arts and performing arts program, undoubtedly one of the most important in the country.
And if we “dig” a little deeper, we discover incredible restaurants like Tel Itzack, a vegetarian restaurant in a trendy industrial setting. You will also find “tzimmers” guesthouses, and some of the most beautiful reception halls in Israel: Alma and Citrus, to name just a few…
In short, today I discovered Even Yehuda….
