Not just fashion

American Jewish billionaire Hay Shotenstein, majority shareholder of the clothing company American Eagle, is not content with just selling jeans and t-shirts to Israelis.

In 2012, he purchased the penthouse and three other apartments for his children for 110 million NIS and is now offering cottages in a new neighborhood located on the beach of Herzliya, on Struma Street, near the L’Acadia hotel, which is the last land reserve in the area, just 200 meters from the beach for the disabled.

Five years ago, Shotenstein and his partners bought the lot from the Ofer brothers for 50 million NIS for 4.5 million dollars. The marketing, which has just begun, is being done through word of mouth only among “potentially interested” parties. The exclusive distributor of the project is the Corinaldi Fund, wife of Shlomi Gabai, former CEO of IKEA, who is offering 14 cottages at the price of 12.8 million NIS each over three levels on a surface of 300 square meters with a sea view.

A pathway to the beach will lead residents of the neighborhood directly to the sea or to the nearby Arena Mall. The project was designed by architect Orly Shrem. The cottages include complete facilities with Bolthaup kitchens, an elevator, smart home technology, underfloor heating, and a private pool measuring 3 meters by 9.
