Unprecedented: 900 Million Shekels will be unlocked by the Israeli State for construction in the Yechouvim over the next 5 years.

The government approved this morning an updated list of localities defined as “national priority residents” in Arab peripheral areas that will have the right to a series of benefits, primarily a tax credit of 7% to 20%.The total cost of the exemptions is estimated at 2.33 billion shekels per year. These are localities that meet one of the following criteria: They are located in areas that are ranked at the bottom of the peripheral index; They are communities at the borders (seven kilometers from the border or nine kilometers from the Lebanese border), they are threatened (mainly urban areas) or new (five years have passed since the date of occupation or ten years after the date of construction). According to the data presented to the government, about 2.5 million Israelis live in localities that will be declared national priority areas, the overwhelming majority (92.1%) in peripheral communities, and the rest in other categories.

The largest localities on the list are the cities of Be’er Sheva, Kiryat Shmona, Ofakim, Sdérot, Beit She’an, and Jerusalem. The list will be valid until September 2021. As part of its first weekly meeting since Passover, the government is expected to approve plans to strengthen Kiryat Shmona, Shlomi, and Metula in the north, towards the city of Yeruham in the south, and a plan to assist communities in the Dead Sea region. The total amount of funds allocated to these areas will reach 900 million NIS and will be distributed over five years. Assistance to Yeruham and the northern cities will be provided mainly to educational, cultural, and social institutions operating in these communities. Assistance to the Dead Sea communities will mainly be provided for tourism projects along the shores of the dry sea.

Eitan Broshi, a member of the Finance Committee, who represented the councils and settlements and promoted the plan to the ministries, stated that “saving the settlements in the Dead Sea region is of national importance and I am happy that the government has finally recognized it. Shalem and the kibbutz Ein Gedi, which recently celebrated its 62nd anniversary, it is important to mention that the plan will not solve all the problems, but will allow the continued existence of communities in an area of national importance.

For the moment in Yeruham, the state has granted several building permits, if you wish to receive a quote for buildable land starting from 250,000 NIS.

Receive information regarding land located in Yichouvim, help us strengthen the Itnahalout and thus expand Israeli borders, by preventing non-Jews from accessing our lands.
