Legal Complaint: They invaded a plot of land and tried to sell it without the owners knowing.
The owner of an agricultural plot in the Dalit al-Carmel area has called on the court to evict the squatters from the land he owns, on which they have built residential buildings, claiming they attempted to steal his rights and promote a plan to change the land designation.
Complaint against illegal squatters: A complaint has been filed in the Haifa Magistrate’s Court for an area of 5,000 square meters being used without the owner’s permission.
Through attorney Ron Amiel from Haifa, the complainant seeks to evict the squatters from the area and request an injunction to demolish illegally constructed homes. Additionally, the plaintiff demands compensation for the use of the land amounting to approximately 650 thousand shekels. The reason: “The invasion, construction, and various uses were carried out without the owner’s consent, without legal authorization, causing damage to the complainant.”
Furthermore, the attorney notes that the land was designated for agriculture, and therefore it is impossible to place any type of building or use it for residential purposes. Moreover, he has been informed that various private entities are attempting to advance a plan to change the designation of the area where the buildings are constructed for residential purposes.
Following the discovery of the case, the complainant filed a complaint with the police, who have opened an investigation that has not yet been completed. In the lawsuit, it was emphasized that the complainant never requested to sell the land and never authorized anyone to sell it on his behalf. According to attorney Amiel, regarding these events, the prosecutor intends to initiate prosecution in the near future.
