Investing in land before obtaining building permits
If your agricultural land becomes buildable, it will definitely be sold for a higher price. However, it is a much less risky strategic investment from which you can derive an interesting return. Expect that each year the price of the land (registered in the land registry) increases by 2% per year. The closer your land gets to obtaining building permits, the higher its price will rise.
This table will give you an idea of the investment it represents depending on the region where you live (price of agricultural land).
| Zone | Agricultural price per m2 | Buildable price per m2 |
| Jerusalem | 500 Nis | 28,000 Nis |
| Center | 850 Nis | 35,000 Nis |
| Galilee | 130 Nis | 14,000 Nis |
| Gush Dan | 350 Nis | 20,000 Nis |
| Negev | 100 Nis | 12,000 Nis |
| Sharon | 410 Nis | 24,000 Nis |
