It is now official: the Planning and Construction Committee of the Tel Aviv district, which was approved by the planning authority last week, has approved the “Meshoulash haboursa” plan for Ramat Gan. The plan, initiated by the government company Apartment to Rent, includes two 50-story office towers and another 60-story tower comprising offices and residences including 350 student dormitories and 400 long-term rental apartments, which will be marketed in 2019.

The plan covers 13 dunams located in the northwestern part of the Diamond Exchange complex, the diamond stock exchange, between Begin Street to the east and Ayalon to the west, and spans 80,000 m² with an additional 5,000 m² of commercial space. It is an extension of the existing towers along the Ayalon highway, planned for the two high-rise 50-story towers, as well as for an eight-story building.

The 60-story tower is planned for the eastern part of the complex, along Begin Street, and will include mixed uses, commerce, public spaces, as well as long-term rental apartments and student dormitories. The area designated for long-term rental will be sold to the public as rental-purpose apartments. The apartments will be rented for a period of at least 20 years at controlled rents, with 25% of the apartments intended for rental to individuals entitled to a reduced price.

The program also includes a public avenue that will connect to the square and will be used for commercial facades, a public area of 10,000 square meters for an educational institution, and for the relocation of the Shenkar College from Yeda Street.

Furthermore, the project includes 900 parking spaces, of which 600 will be allocated for public parking and 300 spaces in a public parking facility located under Begin Street, accessible from the project’s garages or from Begin Street.
