“A plan for the construction of a hotel complex with 800 to 1,000 rooms has already been approved,” states Globes. The lot acquired by Laurent Levy constitutes one-third of a future hotel area that will total around 3,000 rooms.

Negotiations are currently underway with the management of Club Med to build the complex under its franchise.

The Israeli Ministry of Tourism has confirmed that it is in contact with the French businessman for the construction of a vacation village with 600 rooms.

“The urban plan, which provides for the construction of several hotels totaling 3,000 rooms, has been in the works since 1998,” explains Mr. Amrosi, the chairman of the local council of Migdal, a small town adjacent to Yavneel, both bordering Poryah along the shores of the Kinneret.
