ClariFruit is a seed-stage start-up

ClariFruit introduces a revolutionary yet simple approach to measuring the ripeness of fruits. For example, grapefruits, vegetables, cherry tomatoes… Obviously, ripeness includes parameters such as freshness, durability, and taste.

According to FAO, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations: There is currently a loss of about 45% of agricultural products worldwide due to inaccurate ripeness measurements. The reason for this situation is that these checks are performed manually and are not standardized.

Effectively set fruit quality with ClariFruit

With ClariFruit technology, one can measure all the parameters of fruits and vegetables mentioned above and more. For example, the fruit’s BRIX, acidity, firmness, dry weight, color, size, spots, variety, and more.

Additionally, the user will be able to determine their exact location. This is retrieved from the user’s mobile phone with built-in GPS. Weather conditions and the date and time of measurements. This data is instantly uploaded to a cloud database and is then analyzed by an innovative, custom BigData algorithm.

ClariFruit sensors

ClariFruit technology integrates with the SCIO sensor, produced by Consumer Physics. Furthermore, the technology is based on a portable near-infrared molecular probe. This actually measures the internal properties of fruits such as BRIX, dry weight, acidity. Moreover, by using the high-resolution photographic capabilities of the smartphone, one can also acquire external attributes of the fruit/vegetable under examination. Namely: color, size, shape, etc.

And, as already mentioned, all sampling data, as well as statistical information and additional reports, are available online for post-sampling and post-production analysis (traceability), making the decision-making process at all stages of the food supply chain easier!

Currently, the Clarifruit algorithm only supports “cherry” tomatoes and grapefruits.

The company is expanding to handle all fruits and vegetables.

Israland is in contact with the management of ClariFruit, we are meeting its CEO, Avi Schwartzer, on February 1, and we will bring you more information about this company and investment opportunities. The company aims to revolutionize the world by reducing global fruit and vegetable loss and providing all information on fruit ripeness.
