A construction project for 470 new apartments in the Ezra neighborhood was submitted last week. This project is expected to be reviewed by the local planning and construction committee of the municipality of Tel Aviv.

The new plan, promoted by the Israeli Land Authority (RMI), concerns an area located west of the Crate neighborhood and north of Sportek South in the city.

The Ezra neighborhood will have new residential towers.

The plan covers 28 dunams of land and provides for the construction of residential buildings ranging from 8 to 19 stories – for the buildings facing the Park to the South, a commercial ground floor is planned.

Ezra neighborhood. The plan is also intended to renovate existing buildings.

The main owner of the complex is the state, which holds 65% of the area. This gives it the right to build approximately 210 apartments with a total area of 25,000 square meters. The state’s rights are therefore worth about 250 million NIS.

The company Medus Technologies, which according to the company registration officer, belongs to brothers Yishai and Joseph (Safi) Moore. These two relatively anonymous businessmen are known for being avid sports fans. Indeed, they own no less than 5% of the Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball team.

The project leader told Calcalist that for years, the two had gradually acquired land in the complex. Furthermore, the plan documents show that they now hold nearly 21% of the construction rights. This plan gives them the right to build approximately 110 apartments with a total area of 7,500 square meters, with an estimated value of 75 million NIS.
