The Russian-Jewish businessman Roman Abramovich is strengthening his investments in Israel.
The property acquired by the billionaire includes 6,500 m² of office space. It is located near the Herbert Samuel promenade. It is estimated that Roman Abramovich plans to convert this property into a hotel.

Calcalist reveals that Abramovich purchased the Bet Hamaguen next to the Herbert Samuel promenade in Tel Aviv for about 200 million NIS. The seller is businessman Dominique Romano, who bought the property from Migdal Insurance Company in 2016 for 150 million NIS.
The deal was concluded about a month ago, and a registration in the tabou was published in favor of the two companies that Abramovich established for this project. It is estimated that Abramovich intends to transform the property into a hotel.

The building is located at 2 Shenkar Street, opposite the textile house. It includes 6,500 m² of office space and about 130 parking spaces over two floors. In the past, the property belonged to the Yishuv Hachshara Company. The Yishuv then sold it to Migdal Insurance Company in the 1990s. The place, also known as the city’s training center, remained unchanged for several years.
However, the company owned by Ofer Nimrodi in the building after its sale moved to the Champion Tower in Bnei Brak in 2015.
According to the master plan of Tel Aviv, the construction rights can be increased to 12,000 square meters. Furthermore, they can be used for purposes such as hotels or residences. The realization of these rights involves the presentation of a detailed plan, which is expected to take several years.
Abramovich (52 years old) is one of the richest individuals in the world.

He purchased the Versano hotel in the Neve Tzedek neighborhood of Tel Aviv for about 100 million shekels from brothers Guy and Yaron Versano. This deal was the kickoff for Abramovich’s intention to make his aliya to Israel, which he completed a year ago.
